With the introduction of the RISE and the NOIR, JennAir is taking a unique approach. Instead of labeling them as new product lines, they are referring to them as design expressions. This strategic decision allows luxury consumers to enjoy the same high-quality product, whether they are building an industrial kitchen in a farmhouse or installing a modern contemporary kitchen in a downtown condo. JennAir continues to push boundaries in design while also ensuring that customers' desires and needs are met with the features and benefits they seek.
DESIGN
The RISE design expression evokes a sense of familiarity, reminiscent of their previous professional line. The RISE design expression showcases a range crafted with a combination of mixed metals. It features a diamond etched handle that spans the entire width of the range, brushed brass knob collars with a backlit halo lighting, geometric grates, and a bold, large glass window on the front. The design exudes an industrial aesthetic with a visible sense of premium quality.
The NOIR design expression brings a sleeker and more streamlined look to the kitchen, offering homeowners a wider range of options to achieve their desired aesthetic. Now, let's delve into the unique features that set these two design expressions apart. The NOIR design expression offers a more minimalist look. The handle, which is flat and runs across the entire width of the range, is forged in stainless steel. The NOIR range also incorporates a larger amount of black glass on the front and grates that have a slightly lower profile compared to the RISE range.
Wall Ovens
The RISE wall ovens are very similar to the range in the new design expressions. The RISE wall ovens follow with the diamond etched handle that extends the full width of the range, brushed brass knob collars with a backlit halo lighting, and a bold large glass window on the front.
Similar to the NOIR ranges, the wall ovens are designed to look more minimalist. The NOIR wall ovens handle is flat and runs the entire width of the range, featuring a larger amount of black glass on the front of the wall oven.
JennAir RISE and NOIR wall ovens come a 3 different styles; single wall oven, double wall oven or combination wall oven. All of the RISE and NOIR wall oven styles come in 27” width or 30” width and these are all electric.
Both of the RISE and NOIR ranges and wall ovens have been upgraded to feature modern-day conveniences like WiFi connectivity. Preheat, check your cooking status and personalize settings from your smartphone. The JennAir app also features hundreds of recipes, assisted cooking allowing you check doneness levels, and curate recipe pre-sets for future meals. Both the RISE and NOIR ranges and wall ovens feature new oven racks. They now consist of 3 telescoping flat tine racks, this makes it easier getting those heavier items in and out of the oven cavity and enhances heat transfer to your cookware.
Cooktop & Range
The JennAir RISE and NOIR design expressions offer a selection of cook tops and range tops to pair with any of the 3 different style wall ovens. The JennAir RISE and NOIR design expressions come in electric or induction electric. Combining the precision of gas with the look of electric, induction cooktops are highly responsive as well as energy efficient. The electric cook top and the induction cook tops come in 3 sizes; 24” width, 30” width and 36” width.
Both the JennAir RISE and NOIR ranges are available in three different sizes - 30" width, 36" width, and 48" width - and offer two fuel types: gas and dual fuel.
All the JennAir RISE and NOIR gas cook tops and gas range tops come with four burners that have two 20,000 BTU burners, a 18,000 BTU burner, and a 9,000 BTU dual stacked burner. The burners are made from brass, which is a material that is known for its superior heat retention. Every JennAir gas cook top and gas range top comes with one dedicated simmer burner that can go as low 1,000 BTUs. The dual-stacked power burners allow you to have precise control over your flame. These types of burners are stacked and have symmetrical flames that can be controlled over a variety of heat settings. The gas cook tops come in 3 sizes; 24” width, 30” width and 36” width. The gas range tops come in 3 sizes; 30” width, 36” width and 48” width.
Refrigeration & Freezers
The JennAir RISE and NOIR design expressions have a wide range of built in column fridges and freezers, built in fridges and under counter beverage fridges. The NOIR design expression does not offer a free standing fridge, the RISE design expressions however do have a few options in a free standing fridge. Both of the RISE and NOIR column fridge/freezers and built in fridges have the daring obsidian interior, inspired by volcanic glass, this dark finish erupts with reflective high-contrast style. The column fridges and freezer are made with solid all-metal bins and shelf frames. This provides a thick, naturally odour-resistant solid glass and a forcefield at the edge that prevents spillovers. The integrated built-in refrigerator fits beautifully into any decor, blending into custom cabinetry with a truly seamless appearance, reflecting your appreciation for the fine details of design. Must be installed in a 25" deep cabinet to achieve the fully flush look.
JennAir was historically known for downdraft cooktops and ranges. JennAir was bought by the Maytag Corporation in 1982 which was subsequently bought by the Whirlpool Corporation in 2006. Today JennAir is the Whirlpool Corporations' top luxury appliance brand, with the release of the RISE and NOIR design expressions cementing JennAir as an industry leader in providing high quality luxury appliances.
